Sumeet is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

He has over 15 years’ experience in senior roles in finance including healthcare, manufacturing, infrastructure, and education. He has also worked for some iconic organisations including Air New Zealand and Qantas. During his career, he has been involved in several transformational projects, system implementations, and automating processes.

Prior to his role as Director of Finance at Whakaata Māori, Sumeet was Head of Finance at Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland Museum for 10 years.

Outside work he loves spending time with his three teenage children, cooking, following cricket and going on nature walks.
