Te Ao News will be streaming live throughout the day from Pōneke and Tāmaki Makaurau, with crosses from around the motu to hear from community voices.

Te Ao News will also report on the various protest actions and marches planned for tomorrow, Budget Day.

Friday 31 May Hui Taumata.

On 31 May, Whakaata Māori will be in Hawke’s Bay at Ōmāhu Marae for the second Hui Taumata being hosted by Ngāti Kahungunu. Iwi leaders are gathering to continue discussions from the Hui-ā-Motu held at Tūrangawaewae in January. It will also be an opportunity for them to respond to the coalition government’s budget.
