Dr. Reuben Collier MNZM, is an acclaimed television director and producer. He is the owner of the award-winning television production company, Māui TV, established in 2001 in Rotorua. He is an academic, scholar, author and alumnus of Waikato University and Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi where he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Indigenous Studies with a specific focus on media.
Dr Collier was awarded a Queen's Honour in 2016 for services to television and to Māori. He is also the Chair of Ngā Aho Whakaari (Māori in Screen) and Miringa Te Kakara Marae Trust, and other governance roles include the Ngarimu VC and 28th (Māori) Battalion Scholarship Fund Board, and the principal claimant for the Treaty of Waitangi claim of Rereahu iwi.
