Anahera Higgins is an experienced storyteller across multiple digital platforms, events, festivals, and theatre.  She was the Chair of Ngā Aho Whakaari, representing and supporting indigenous creatives and the Māori screen sector to bring authentic, cultural stories to the world.

Anahera is an unwavering advocate of for Māori-by-Māori content creation to enrich the unique identity of Aotearoa, New Zealand. She is on the board of trustees for Te Taurahere o Ngāti Porou ki Tāmaki Makaurau with extensive experience across industry boards, assessment panels, programming and production.

Anahera feels privileged to serve with her colleagues on Te Rūnanga Kaiwhakatere o Whakaata Māori, championing the work of many, anchored in the values that will always keep us grounded at home.
